What is the use of AR, VR, MR & in BIM ?





VR - Virtual Reality
  • Involves virtual environments which are digital with a complete cut from the physical environment.
  • Uses head-mounted display or glasses.

AR - Augmented Reality
  • Involves real environments with the addition of digital elements, the live view can be captured using camera & digital elements will be added on top of the live view.
  • Uses a smartphone, tablet or other mobile device.

MR - Mixed Reality
  • Involves a mix of aspects from both virtual & real environments with the involvement of digital elements, the virtual objects can be mapped to the physical environment.
